Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment. The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time in between, a moment of undetermined period of time in which something special happens. What the special something is depends on who is using the word. While chronos is quantitative, kairos has a qualitative nature.
According to ancient Greeks, Kairos was the god of the “fleeting moment,” “a favorable opportunity opposing the fate of man.” Such a moment must be grasped (by the tuft of hair on the personified forehead of the fleeting opportunity); otherwise the moment is gone and can not be re-captured (personified by the back of head being bald).
Modern time, full of stress missing quality component is tearing us apart. If Kairos was in hurry almost 2500 years ago, I wonder what would he do today. However, everyone has a chance to grab his own favorable opportunity, and Trogir may be a place to grab it. We would like to present you this ancient town as a place where you can enjoy time spent in it. You will have a chance to explore its hidden corners and grab opportunities that Kaiors missed to find.
