Yacht Charter bases in Croatia

Ultra sailing Croatia logo

Croatia is a nautical country with an old tradition. Along the beautiful Adriatic Sea we have a lot of small towns, more then 1.200 islands and islets, and almost 6.000 km of coastal line. Along the Croatian Adriatic coast, there are many marinas which offer a chance for people to keep their boat in a safe place from the strong winds of the Adriatic. Majority of Marinas in Croatia are used for boats owned by local sailors and in most cases also for charter fleets from various companies. From the point of view of a yacht charter company, the facilities and the position of the marina is of course very important in relation to choosing your companies charter base.

As Ultra sailing is a Split based company, we have focused on picking the best charter bases in Dalmatia. Our main criteria have been proximity to the airport, facilities and, last but not least, easy access to beautiful Dalmatian islands. Based on these criteria we selected Dubrovnik, Split, Trogir and Pula as our yacht charter bases in Croatia. All are very famous tourist towns fairly close to the respective airports. Base Kastela is reserved for organized regattas and One design fleet.

Charter base Trogir: Trogir is a town-museum in the very meaning of the word. Lovers of cultural and historical monuments, art, original architecture and nice alleys are given the opportunity in Trogir to learn about the manifold and complex heritage - from the Romanesque yard to the modern interiors. Trogir ACI Marina has 200 berths in the sea and 80 places on the land. Ultra sailing choose base Trogir as the most suitable for family cruising. Families smaller sailing boats from 35ft to 45ft can have an excellent starting point as the marina is in the middle of the old Trogir town. For the larger and luxury catamarans, check-in is organized in luxury Marina Baotić in Seget (part of Trogir).

Charter base Dubrovnik: Komolac is where ACI marina Dubrovnik is situated. No wonder that family Sorkocevic has chosen this particular location back in the 16th century to build their mansion close to natural resources. Protected by the natural surroundings, natural spring water at the river delta of Ombla makes Komolac a place ideal for a vacation to a new generation of people-yachtsmen. Here you will find the ACI marina Dubrovnik with its 425 sea berths and 140 shore berths.
