Day Skipper Bareboat Sail has its venue on Ultra d.o.o. sailing boat Beneteau First 40.7 as performance boat with maximum 6 attendants and one instructor. The course attendants are accommodated on board during the whole course. This program is a logical continuation and addition to the experience acquired in the previous Competent Crew course. It is held by instructors with very long skipper and yachting experience. The 6-day-program totals 200 nautical miles, i.e. approximately 35 nautical miles a day. The program includes a tour to the following islands: Brač, Šolta, Hvar, Vis and Korčula with one full night navigation. Over these six days together with the following issues such as an independent navigational program, nautical skills, following the weather conditions and out-of-marina anchoring the attendants will be richer in their sailors’ skills. In the program they are also obligated with a duties necessary for living on sea such as: doing the dishes with the limited water consumption, cooking and the preparation of the typical meals: pasta with tuna, tomato sauce, fish stew, doing sailing and night watches, anchor watches etc.
Daily working program is not fixed owing to the unforeseeable weather conditions but the course attendants are obliged to sail cca. 35 nautical miles a day, i.e. one route a day is foreseen for this course.
Clothing: we recommend to have sunscreen during summer, hat, sneakers, warm sport clothes for winter
Licence and Ability after the course (licence approved by the Ministry of Croatia-MMPI): Holder of the Day Skipper Certificate of Competence is competent to sail a vessel in private or charter purposes, up to 30GT within inland waters, during daylight in light to moderate conditions with condition to hold a valid VHF licence if the vessel has a VHF or GMDSS-VHF station on bord
ISPA DAY SKIPPER SAIL Workbook is reccomended to be completed prior to arrival to the course since there will not be so much free time to complete it throughout the course altough is it possible to finish it during the course since it requires about 20 hours to be completed. Completed DAY SKIPPER workbook equals passed ISPA DAY SKIPPER SAIL SHOREBASED course. Book has to be completed until last day (Friday) when the certificated are being provided if you complete all the practical exams.

10:00 Setting sails and sailing to one of nearby anchorage areas
