BY PLANE
Maybe the most practical way to reach Dubrovnik is to travel by plane. There are daily flights from Zagreb with Croatia Airlines, and weekly flights from most European cites. Let's mention that there are regular flights to Zagreb from almost every international airport in Europe also during off-season.
BY BUS
Maybe the cheapest way to approach Dubrovnik is to travel by bus. Numerous bus lines that lead to Dubrovnik from every lager city in Croatia operate more than several times a day.
Croatia has a well developed national transport network of bus lines that reaches even the smallest of villages on the coast.
Regular international bus lines connect Croatia to Austria, Italy, Hungary, France, Germany, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other countries.
BY FERRY
Many people take the ferry to Dubrovnik, which is probably more comfortable and more affordable than the bus. The largest Croatian company is Jadrolinija which has lines that hop from Rijeka to Zadar to Split, Hvar and then Dubrovnik throughout the year. Also there are few private fast catamarans lines which has lines going few times a day to Dubrovnik. There is also a good link to Italian ports (Bari and Ancona) if you want to cross over from Italy to Dubrovnik.
From Dubrovnik to ACI Marina
Now, you are in Dubrovnik and want to go to ACI Marina Komolac. If you want to go by bus, you should get on the bus number 1A or 1B and get of on a bus stop in Komolac (just after the gas station). If going with a car, follow the signs for Gruz Harbour and then, after going under the bridge go left on the first crossing. After that just go straight ahead until you are in Komolac. The first road that goes on left is the entrance to the ACI Marina Dubrovnik!
About Dubrovnik
The mansion of Petar Sorkocevic from 1521, with Renaissance arcades on the ground floor and Gothic monoforia and triforia on the first floor dominates the bay of Komolac where ACI marina Dubrovnik is situated. No wonder that family Sorkocevic has chosen this particular location back in 16th century to build their mansion close to natural resourses. Protected by the natural surroundings, natural spring water at the river delta of Ombla makes Komolac a place ideal for vacation to a new generation of people-yachtsmen. Now, in the mension you can find our office.
ACI marina Dubrovnik have 425 sea berths and 140 shore berths. What will leave You breathless is the surroundings. Beautiful hills that surround You are closing the bay, walking through the vegetation and the activities that are in this marina just for You will prolong Your departure from marina Dubrovnik. Also, You are close to Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful cities on the world, it would be a true pity not to visit this jewel of Mediterranean. Since You are a yachtsman without land transportation, near the marina You will find a bus station that takes You to town every 15 minutes. Of course Taxi service is at Your disposal, we leave that to Your choice.
Of course, there is no time for You to see all interesting spots of this ancient town, so You will walk the Stradun and grab an ice-cream or coffee somewhere among the numerous bars along. One of the bars we recommend is famous Buza, a place underneath the South Walls, on the cliffs, actually in the cliffs. Coffee, beautiful view, short swimming near the cliffs, waving to cruisers passing by through the channel-natural stress eliminator. After You walk to old harbor along Stradun and take a rest next to Onofrie's fountain where You can hear the old traditional sounds of fiddles from Konavle.
The most impressive moment is the silence and beautiful ambient. Without many words, people from all over the world are passing by. Some of them are leaving this marina and Croatia, but for sure they don't want to leave and go back to daily routines to some European cities. Some of them will crawl to the pool, order a coffee and take a relaxing swim in the marina swimming pool.
